The movie stars Mammootty, Suhasini, Adoor Bhasi, Jagathi Sreekumar and Lissy in lead roles. The story follows musician Viswanathan and dancer Janani, whose marriage falls apart due to ego and professional jealousy. Years later, as Janani strives for a prestigious dance award, Viswanathan returns to challenge her but ultimately steps aside, letting their son support her.
